October 2006 BoSox Club Luncheon

As an informal kick-off to the joint 40th Anniversary celebrations of the BoSox Club and the 1967 Impossible Dream team, the Club's October luncheon featured one of the most popular stars of that great squad—Jim Lonborg.

Dr. Jim shared his insights on the ups and downs of that storied season, and what it meant to the team, the city and the fans to finally make it back to the World Series.

The BoSox Club—in close cooperation with the Boston Red Sox—will be carrying out a year-long celebration of the team that set in motion the growth of Red Sox Nation.
